Nice Us Socket Bayonet M1873 With ScabbardThis u. S. Socket bayonet, model 1873 was designed to eb used with the 45/70 trapdoor springfield rifle. It wears a blade that measures 18 inches in length which remains in very ncie condition with most of the original blue finish still present. The socket measures 3 inches in length with an inside bore diameter fo 0.730 of an inch. The metal scabbard also remains very nice with no dings. Also remaining is the beautiful elather frog which shows some wear with dryness but is present nonetheless.
Overall, the bayonet measures 20 15/16 inches in length. hTere is no reserve.
